An afternoon garden party and art exhibition during which we presented, in collaboration with the Rotary, the work of four Belgian painters, Geneviève Gailliard, Colette Staes, Myriam togni and Francois de Lièvre. This was an exclusive and interesting event that matched Belgian contemporary art together with traditional thai culture and architecture. Two belgian Guest artists joined this event: Yves Smeets and Olivier Lamboray. Six paintings were donated by the artists in favor of the Smiling Child Scholarship Fund. Among these, the painting, "Children are our memory", work of Yves Smeets, of an extra-large format. The fund allows children, most of whom have lost their parents to HIV, to receive education. Over 600 scholarships have already been awarded successfully by the Rotary Club of Maechan. For 4 of the artists, who never came to Thailand before, this trip has been an unforgetable experience, thanks to Thailand Elite, who assisted them from the first minute they arrived in the Kingdom and the Rotary Club of Maechan.
