Winai Chaso
In 2005, Winai entered the "Hill Tribe Ceramic Project" with 11 other students.
The project was set up at Insii Thai House and we invited a French sculptor, Paul Beckrich, to teach a special technique of enameling ceramic... A way to change ceramic into metal...
It took Winai about 3 years of perseverance and hard work to fully master the technique.
The foundation helped Winai even more by inviting the French artist 3 times to Chiangrai to give further advices. The foundation and the Rotary clubs of Maechan and Lampang also provided all the necessary material, including an oven.
All this work has transformed the life of Winai, who comes from a remote mountain bordering Myanmar.

Winai already made exhibitions in Chiangrai and Phuket, and his sculptures can be found in several private collections, including the collection of H.M. King Norodom Sianouk of Cambodia.
